I don't know but one thing is certain. We have idiots in the State Dept that are playing games that are getting people killed, destabilizing governments and causing suffering.
That is unsat.

Pyatt: Yeah. I guess... in terms of him not going into the government, just let him stay out and do his political homework and stuff. Pyatt: Yeah, no, I think that's right. OK. Good. Do you want us to set up a call with him as the next step?
Nuland: My understanding from that call - but you tell me - was that the big three were going into their own meeting and that Yats was going to offer in that context a... three-plus-one conversation or three-plus-two with you. Is that not how you understood it?

State Department spokeswoman Jen Psaki acknowledged that the recording was authentic and said Nuland had apologized to E.U. officials.

ReplyDeleteBtw: Today Russians again make a fool of themselves. Some Russian TV reporters saw "white" helicopters in use by Ukrainian army and immediately accuse them of using... ready because this is going to be funny... helicopters with UN markings. Now Russian Viceminister of Foreign Affairs want to investigate this because Ukraine don't have mandate to use this markings.
But, picture show indeed a white cammo helo that is used by Ukrainians. Because those are helos from Kongo mission of UN that Ukraine join, they were not repainted thru. There is not a single one symbol of UN on them. As for sure you know the UN helos are white with big UN letters on back and UNITED NATIONS on tail boom. Russians even said that it has a blue belt... somewhere and that is also symbol of UN. That is ridiculous because UN don't use any blue symbols on helos.
I don't know if Russians are that stupid or just play stupid.
yeah you're right that we will never know but at least i know the basis of all the rumors about the US doing sneaky shit in Ukraine.

ReplyDeleteRober kagan and his father Frederick are two of the biggest neo-cons in the movement. Kagan helped found the Project for the New American Century (PNAC) along with William Kristol (who used to make all the Sunday morning talk shows during the Iraq war).
Just wondering, what is so important about the Ukraine the the U.S was willing to ride rough shod over the E.U? Is the Ukraine a special case, or was this just how they normally do things?
ReplyDeletei'm not sure. i was wondering the same thing. could it be that instead of "spreading democracy through the use of the military the democrats decided that they wanted to do it via demonstrations? even if they had to manufacture the conditions that caused those demonstrations?

Both the EU (aka Germany) and the US want a Ukraine that looks to the West; the former more for economic reasons, the latter more for geographical (security) reasons, and their interests overlap. What you are seeing is what always go on between actors on the same side who are loosely associated a bit of maneuvering to be top dog. Happend in WW2 for example. It's just international politics and quite normal.
