The UK tests its Division's "Lead Armored Task Force" @ Exercise Tractable 2016

Pictured are Challanger 2, Warrior and Bulldog vehicles during Exercise TRACTABLE 2016.
The British Army’s Wiltshire based 3rd (UK) Division took part in Exercise TRACTABLE 2016 on Salisbury Plain Training Area. The exercise is designed to test the ability the Division’s Lead Armoured Task Force (LATF) to deploy from barracks via a centralised Staging Area or Mounting Centre, to air and sea points of embarkation. More than 1,800 personnel and 1,200 vehicles, including Challenger 2 main battle tanks took part in a series of annual exercises intended to prove the readiness of the British Army’s ‘main intervention capability’ Division.

Is it just me or are we seeing a "surge" in the number of exercises testing European rapid deployment forces?
